The drive from Malpensa is about 330 km and takes roughly 3.5 hours. The route follows the A1 motorway south toward Florence, crossing the Apennines, then continues on the A11 west toward the coast, exiting at Viareggio directly rather than at Lucca or Pisa. The return to Malpensa is priced the same as the arrival, and on summer weekends when coastal traffic is heaviest, we recommend confirming the pickup time a day or two ahead rather than the morning of departure.
