Landing at Malpensa and heading straight to the lake is the best start to any Como trip. The route is simple — about 50 km, around 45 minutes — but the options range from shared shuttles with fixed stops to a private car that takes you directly to your hotel, villa, or rental on the water.
We cover the full lake: Como city, Cernobbio, Tremezzo, Varenna, and all the smaller towns along the western and eastern shores.
The road and what to expect
The drive follows the A8/A9 motorway north from Malpensa, then drops down to the lake through the pre-alpine foothills. The landscape opens up as you approach Como — on clear days the Alps are already visible before you reach the shore. Traffic is generally smooth outside rush hours; on busy summer weekends, allow an extra 10–15 minutes.
For lakeside destinations beyond Como city — Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna — journey time increases depending on where exactly you're headed. We also run transfers to Bellagio and transfers to Menaggio as separate routes.
What the service includes

For couples or solo travellers, the E-Class sedan is the default — comfortable, fast, exactly the right size. Families or groups with luggage fit well in the V-Class minivan: seven seats, generous boot. For special occasions at a lakeside villa, the S-Class is an option worth considering.
Groups arriving together can book a Sprinter (up to 8) or a minibus. Exact capacity and pricing by vehicle class is calculated per route — we don't publish fixed numbers online because luggage, ski equipment, and group size all affect the quote.
