Route and journey time
The drive south follows the A15 motorway through the Apennine foothills before dropping onto the Tuscan coastal plain. Distance is approximately 300 km; journey time under normal traffic conditions is around 180 minutes.
The route is straightforward year-round — no mountain passes, no seasonal restrictions. In summer, expect the coastal stretch into Forte dei Marmi to add 15–20 minutes on Friday afternoons when half of northern Italy is heading the same direction.
What's included
