Malpensa → Valtournenche — 150 minutes
Valtournenche is the valley town below Cervinia, and for skiers it's the quieter, cheaper base for the same lift network that reaches the Matterhorn ski area and connects across the border to Zermatt. Staying here instead of at Cervinia itself usually means a shorter walk to a rental car park and a lower price on accommodation, at the cost of a few extra minutes to the lifts each morning — a trade a lot of returning skiers make deliberately.

The drive from Malpensa is around 210 km and takes about 2.5 hours, shorter than any of our other Alpine ski routes because it stays entirely within Italy. The route runs east on the A4 toward Turin, then north on the A5 autostrada through the Aosta Valley, exiting toward Châtillon before climbing the SR46 up the Valtournenche valley itself. No tunnel, no border crossing, no unpredictable French traffic — just a valley road that climbs steadily and is well maintained even in winter.
Meet and greet happens at arrivals with a name board, your flight is tracked, and 60 minutes of waiting time is included free. Ski bags, boots, and boards travel at no extra charge. Water and Wi-Fi are standard in every car, and drivers speak English, Italian, and Russian, which is useful given how many nationalities mix on this particular lift system.
For two travellers with ski gear, the E-Class covers the 2.5-hour drive comfortably. Families and groups take the V-Class, which is the more practical option once ski equipment for four or more people is involved. S-Class and Sprinter are available on request for smaller premium groups or larger parties. All fares are fixed per vehicle at booking, with no adjustment for the winding valley roads or weekend traffic.
Reserve through the form on this page or via WhatsApp; payment is due after the trip.
Malpensa splits arrivals between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 by airline, and your driver confirms which one applies before heading to the correct arrivals hall. Child seats are available on request at no extra charge — specify ages at booking so the right seats are already fitted. Since much of the route runs through Turin's outskirts before the mountains start, the drive stays predictable even outside ski season, when it's used as often for a weekend in the valley as for the pistes. Because the route stays inside Italy, it's also one of the more reliable Alpine transfers for a same-day return — no tunnel schedule or foreign border formality to plan around, just the valley road down to the autostrada. The return fare to Malpensa is fixed at the same rate as the arrival, and payment for either leg is settled by card or cash after the drive rather than in advance.
It's worth flagging luggage in advance: the E-Class trunk takes two large suitcases and two carry-ons without a squeeze, and the V-Class has room to spare beyond that. Plans shift after booking more often than guests expect — an earlier flight, one more passenger, extra bags picked up along the way — and a WhatsApp message ahead of the pickup date is all it takes for us to swap the vehicle assigned.
Valtournenche sits close to Cervinia itself and to Aosta, the valley's main town, both of which we also serve directly for guests comparing bases before booking accommodation.
