About the route

Malpensa → Val d isere270 minutes

Val d'Isère sits at the top of the Espace Killy, the ski area it shares with Tignes — around 300 km of linked pistes reaching up to the Grande Motte glacier. The resort hosted the Alpine Skiing World Championships in 2009, and the racing pedigree shows in how the village is laid out: everything funnels toward the lifts, which is exactly why a taxi drop-off two streets short of your chalet is such a common complaint. A private transfer books the address, not the village centre, and gets your gear to the door.

The drive from Malpensa is about 360 km and takes roughly 4.5 hours. The route follows the same Aosta Valley corridor as the transfers to Chamonix and Courmayeur, through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, then continues north through Chamonix, Megève, and Albertville before climbing the Tarentaise valley through Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Val d'Isère. It's the longest of our regular Alpine routes, and also the one where an early, well-planned departure matters most — the final climb into the resort gains significant altitude in the last 30 km, and winter tyres and chains are standard equipment on our vehicles for that stretch, not an optional extra.

Your driver meets you at arrivals with a name sign and tracks your flight, so a delay doesn't cost you the transfer slot. Sixty minutes of free waiting is included. Ski and snowboard equipment travels at no extra charge, and we size the vehicle for what a group of five or seven actually carries back from a week of skiing, not a minimum estimate. Water, Wi-Fi, and English/Italian/Russian-speaking drivers are standard across the fleet.

The E-Class works for couples travelling with two full sets of ski gear. Families and groups of up to seven take the V-Class, which is the practical choice for this route given the equipment load. The S-Class is available on request, and the Sprinter handles larger parties booking the same chalet or apartment block. Prices are fixed per vehicle at booking, confirmed in writing with the driver's details before you fly.

Book via the form on this page or over WhatsApp; payment is settled after the transfer, not in advance.

Malpensa splits arrivals between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 depending on the airline, and your driver checks which one applies before heading to the arrivals hall — a small detail that matters when the two terminals are a shuttle ride apart. Child seats are available on request at no extra charge; specify ages at booking. The same fixed price covers the return leg to Malpensa, bookable now alongside your arrival transfer or arranged later over WhatsApp once your departure flight is confirmed. Given the 4.5-hour drive back down through the Tarentaise and the Aosta Valley, we build the pickup time around an international departure from Terminal 1 with enough margin to reach check-in comfortably rather than arriving with minutes to spare. Payment for either leg is settled by card or cash after the drive, not before, and you'll have written confirmation with the driver's name and vehicle ahead of both journeys.

Given the length of the drive, several clients split the trip with a night in Chamonix on the way through, and we also run direct transfers to Tignes, the neighbouring resort sharing the same lift network, and Megève further down the valley.
