From Milan's ring road, the drive follows the A5 motorway north through the Aosta Valley — the flat Po plain gives way to ridgelines, then to proper Alpine scenery as you climb toward the Mont Blanc Tunnel entrance at Courmayeur's edge. In winter the road is well maintained, but snowfall and tunnel traffic can add 20–30 minutes; we always track conditions in real time. The Mont Blanc Tunnel itself connects Courmayeur to Chamonix on the French side — if you're doing a cross-border ski trip, this is the natural gateway. **What's included** Your driver meets you at arrivals with a name board — no need to find a bus stop or wait in a taxi queue after a long flight.
