Malpensa → Courchevel

Courchevel sits at the top of Les 3 Vallées, the largest ski area in the world. Getting there from Malpensa means crossing the Alps — the Italian side, then the French. It's a 420-kilometre route that goes through the Aosta Valley and climbs over the Mont Blanc corridor into Savoie. We cover it every winter for skiers, snowboarders, and guests of the Palace hotels in Courchevel 1850.

There are no direct trains to Courchevel. The closest rail connection drops you in Moûtiers, still 25 km from the resort — with luggage and ski bags, that gap matters. A private transfer takes you from the arrivals hall at Malpensa to the door of your chalet or hotel, without stops or transfers.

Route and road conditions

The distance from Malpensa to Courchevel is approximately 420 km. Driving time is around 270 minutes under normal winter conditions. The route follows the A5 motorway through the Aosta Valley, crosses into France via the Mont Blanc Tunnel, then continues through Chamonix, Albertville, and Moûtiers before the final climb into the Tarentaise valley.

The last section — from Moûtiers up to Courchevel — is a mountain road that gains over 1,500 metres in altitude. In heavy snowfall it requires chains or winter tyres rated for alpine conditions. Our vehicles carry both; drivers know the road and schedule trips to avoid the worst of the evening rush up to the resort. Winter conditions on this route can affect timing — we build margin into every booking.

What's included

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall at Malpensa with a name board. We track your flight in real time — if you land 40 minutes early or 90 minutes late, the driver is there. The first 60 minutes of waiting after landing are free.

Ski bags, snowboard bags, poles, and boot bags load with your regular luggage at no extra charge. Water and Wi-Fi on board. Drivers speak English, Italian, and Russian — useful on a route that crosses two language borders.

Vehicle classes

For a couple with two sets of ski equipment, an E-Class sedan works well. Families or groups of 3–5 with full ski kit are more comfortable in a V-Class minivan — larger boot, more legroom over a 4.5-hour drive. Larger groups travel by Mercedes Sprinter. S-Class, Sprinter, and minibus are available on request with a fixed quote.

Prices are fixed per route, calculated at booking. No meter, no surcharges, no fuel add-ons.

Booking

Use the form on this page or write to us on WhatsApp — we respond within 5 minutes. After confirmation you receive a voucher with driver name, contact, and vehicle details. Payment by card or cash on arrival. For ski season (December–March) we recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead; during Christmas and February half-term, book earlier — demand on this route is high.

We also cover transfers to other alpine resorts: Zermatt in Switzerland for those combining resorts, Cervinia on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, or St. Moritz in Engadin.

Closing

Courchevel 1850 sets a high bar for everything. The transfer from Malpensa should match it. We've been running alpine routes from Malpensa since 2013. Book online or contact us on WhatsApp.
