Como to Malpensa is roughly 50 km. In normal traffic the drive takes about 45 minutes, entirely on motorway. The A9 connects Como to the ring road around Milan, then the A8/A26 carries you west to the airport. The road is straightforward: once on the motorway there's nothing complicated — no mountain passes, no ferries, no seasonal closures.
